our services
Transportation
East Topeka Senior Center provides transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, and to and from the senior center and senior center sponsored recreational trips.
Recreation
Enjoy activities like ceramics, arts and crafts, exercise classes, musical entertainment, and more.
meals
ETSC is a congregate meal site for Meals on Wheels which are served at 11:30 am, Monday - Friday. and must be ordered a day in advance.
ETSC is a commodity distribution site for senior commodities and the emergency food assistance program. Distribution occurs Monday - Friday 8:30 am-11:30 am
Education
Our mission is to keep the senior community well informed. Informational meetings and presentations are held monthly from community partners like Angel Home Health, St. Croix Hospice, Midland Care, Kansas Legal Services, Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging and many more.

ETSC offers regularly scheduled exercise classes. There are also nutrition food prep demonstrations as well as blood pressure and sugar checks, medication reviews and mental health assistance.
eligibility
Services are available to all citizens age 60 and over, including spouses of persons 60 and over, and adults with disabilities.
Fees
There is no fee to attend the senior center. Meals on Wheels are provided for persons 60 years of age and older and their spouses, regardless of spouse’s age. Eligible persons are encouraged to make a contribution of $4 to help defray the meal cost. No one will be denied a meal because of the lack of ability to pay.
OUR MONTH OF ACTIVITIES AT A GLANCE
Transportation
The East Topeka Senior Center offers door to door transportation to the Senior Center and to medical appointments within Shawnee County, Transportation is provided to senior citizens age 60 and over and to adults over 18 with disabilities. Medical appointments must be no earlier than 10 am and no later than 2:30 p.m. A suggested donation of $5 each way is requested for transportation, however no one is turned away for inability to pay. For transportation to and from the Senior Center or medical appointments, please contact us at (785) 251-6988 to schedule your ride. Please place calls at least 24 hours in advance.
